The FCM may be closed to the public, but we can’t let May go by without Family Day! Drive-through to pick up your FREE Family Day at Home Kit to create along with us. All supplies and written instructions are included with access to online video tutorials. You don’t want to miss May’s Family Day at Home!

Each kit will contain supplies to complete the following activities:

Inspired by Nature

Nature Prints inspired by Anna Heyward Taylor

Create an artwork in the style of artist Anna Heyward Taylor, inspired by your favorite plants and flowers. Participants will use a simple printmaking technique into create an original artwork that captures the beauty of nature.

Plant Tomatoes with the Tomato Clubs

Grow your own tomatoes, just like the children’s agricultural clubs of the early 1900’s. Participants will plant tomato seeds and learn about the Tomato Clubs, which evolved into today’s 4-H clubs.

Make Your own Sidewalk Chalk

Spring is the perfect time to create outdoors! Making your own sidewalk chalk for outdoor art is simple and fun. Participants will mix and mold their own sidewalk chalk to use at home.

Please enter the drive-through line from the Cheves Street entrance. Turn to the right, around the back of the Museum. Pull into the bus parking and up to the tent. A museum staff member will deliver the kits to your car.
