Enjoy art, history, & science with your family. The Florence County Museum offer programs for children (K–12) and their parents and caregivers. From the children's gallery and backpack tour curriculum to interactive book readings and art studios, families can experience learning on a whole new level at FCM.
Looking for fun activities for your child during winter break? Winter Workshop is an exciting new program for children ages 5 to 10 at the Florence County Museum. This four-day hands-on workshop will focus on winter-themed art projects and activities. The workshop will end with an exhibit of student work and holiday reception for family and friends.

Mornings at the Museum
Mornings at the Museum is an interactive program for children ages 3-5 and their accompanying adult. This program is offered during the school year on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The 1st Wednesday of each month will be history related topics. The 3rd Wednesday of each month will be Visual Arts related topics. Each program includes a gallery visit, story time, and hands-on studio activity.
Mornings at the Museum is free, however we do require each parent to preregister their child using our online registration form. Space is limited to 15 children per session so sign up early to reserve your child’s spot.
The Mornings at the Museum schedule coincides with the semesters of local school districts; September through November and January through May. Registration for Mornings at the Museum will resume in August.
From toddlers to grandparents, Family Day at the Florence County Museum is sure to offer something for everyone. This program includes gallery activities, hands-on studio projects and more. Join us the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Family Day at the FCM. This monthly program is free and there is no registration required.
