Family Day at the Florence County Museum

From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days at the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. Join us the second Saturday of every month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Family Day at the FCM. No registration required. Free of charge.
Art and Science
Museum Lobby
Participants will learn how different substances (in this case, colors) move and spread across a paper surface when dissolved in water. Each student will create a wonderful work of art while observing this fascinating scientific process.
Art Studio
Use basic household supplies in this creative, slimy experiment. Participants will learn about polymers and chemical bonds as they create colorful slime.
Multipurpose Room
What happens when you mix an acid with a base? Participants will learn the basics of this chemical reaction while creating a colorful abstract painting.
