From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days at the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. Join us the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Family Day at the FCM. No registration required. Free of charge.
Beautiful Butterflies on Slow Art Day
Slow down and watch watercolors mix as you create your own butterfly using a wet into wet watercolor technique. As your paint dries, visit our galleries using the Slow Art Day 2024 Guide. On Slow Art Day, in museums and in art spaces across the world visitors are encouraged to slow down, quietly observe, reflect, and discover. This Family Day is inspired by the butterfly in Titll, The Salon (inscribed on verso) by Frank Cooper currently on view in the Inside Out exhibition in the Special Exhibit Gallery.
In addition, a plant sale will take place in the museum’s courtyard from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The Florence County Museum is proud to partner with Healy Horticulture and Pee Dee Botanical Garden to host our first Spring Plant Sale. Many of the items available for purchase are represented in our pollinator garden and courtyard plantings.
