Family Day at the Florence County Museum

From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days at the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. Join us the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Family Day at the FCM. No registration required. Free of charge.

Celebrating William H. Johnson

William Henry Johnson collected drawings, photos, memories and newspaper articles to remember and document his travels. Participants will use envelopes to create a simple scrapbook journal for collecting memories and ideas.

Burlap was commonly used by William Henry Johnson as a painting surface. Participants will use a simple printmaking technique on burlap to create an amazing textured work of art.

Both William H. Johnson and his wife, Holcha Krake, painted Still Life paintings of flowers. Participants will use Sharpie markers and watercolor paint to create a still life painting from observation.
