Family Day at Home
From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days with the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. The FCM is still unable to host in-person programming, but we can’t let September go by without Family Day! Drive through to pick up your FREE Family Day at Home Kit to create along with us. All supplies and written instructions are included with access to online video tutorials. You don’t want to miss September’s Family Day at Home!

Wonderful Watercolor
Painting with simple watercolor paint is a wonderful way explore color and texture! Create along with us to create 3 watercolor artworks that explore different techniques. Visit our current special exhibition Alice Smith: A Charleston Renaissance Artist to view wonderful watercolor paintings inspired by nature and early 20th century culture.
Experiment with different ways to create texture with watercolor paint. Participants will use simple household supplies to create textural effects with watercolor.
What happens when you apply watercolor paint to salt? Participants will create a drawing with salt and drip watercolor paint to create amazing colorful effects!
Capture the beauty of nature using a simple resist technique. Participants will create wax rubbings from nearby nature and paint with watercolor to reveal a magical resist effect.
