Family Day at Home
From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days with the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. The FCM is still unable to host in-person programming, but we can’t let November go by without Family Day! Drive through to pick up your FREE Family Day at Home Kit to create along with us. All supplies and written instructions are included with access to online video tutorials. You don’t want to miss November’s Family Day at Home!

Each kit will contain supplies to complete the following activities:
Cultural Connections
Celebrate traditional cultural arts and learn about the people and cultures that are known for their unique and wonderful creations.
Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with this traditional doll made by many Native American Tribes. Participants will use dried corn husks to create a small doll.
The Japanese art of paper folding, or Origami, comes to life! Participants will create simple origami animals with origami paper.
Learn about the beauty and symbolism of Ghanaian Kente Cloth. Participants will weave colorful strips of paper and add geometric patterns to create a unique artwork inspired by Kente Cloth of the Ashanti people of Ghana.
