Studio Workshop I: Elements of the Southern Landscape

Southern Visions: Studio Workshops pairs hands-on studio instruction with time in the Special Exhibit Gallery to explore the foundational skills behind the landscapes, watercolors, and use of perspective in FCM’s Southern Visions exhibition. All skill levels welcome. No experience necessary.

August 16: Session I: Reading the Land: Elements of the Southern Landscape – Learn to see and recognize the elements in landscape art, drawing inspiration from the paintings in Southern Visions that capture the changing scenery of the early American South. Participants will create their own landscapes to take home. Taught by artist and educator, Brittany Gilbert.

Limited to 12 participants

Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 28, 2026, at 10 am.
Members get priority ticket access the week before starting on June 21, 2026. Only 5 early tickets are available.
