Disquiet

Born in 1988 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, artist Mary Cooke-Brown combines craft with fine art processes to explore tensions within the domestic realm and within the psyche. She holds a Masters degree in Fine Art, specializing in sculpture, and currently teaches at Greenville Technical College and Spartanburg Methodist College. She has been the recipient of several awards in both drawing and sculpture and exhibits her work nationally.

FCM is pleased to present Cooke-Brown as the recipient of the 2021 Solo Exhibition Award, sponsored by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance.

Disquiet will be on view in the FCM Waters Gallery from May 3 through August 9, 2021. The Waters Gallery is located at 135 South Dargan Street in Florence. Open Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
