“While each person experiences loss in his or her own way, there is some underlying commonality that binds our experiences together so that we can recognize loss when we see it expressed by another.”

Diminished: A Still Life

The Florence Regional Arts Alliance is pleased to present Diminished: A Still Life, an exhibition of new ceramic works by Doug Gray. Opening on Thursday, October 12, the exhibition is a solo show of Gray’s most recent sculptural work, consisting of several large art installations and an interactive piece, which encourages audience participation. The exhibit comes at an incredible moment in time when experiences of loss and tragedy are all around us and Gray offers the viewer a meditative moment of reflection and peace.

The exhibition will include an artist reception on Thursday, October 12, 6-8 pm at the Florence County Museum’s Waters Gallery in the Waters Building. The Waters Gallery is located at 135 South Dargan Street in Florence. Open Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
