After acting as the catalyst for racial integration at the Florence Public Library in 1960, Earl Ernest Guile continued to fight for justice. In August of 1963, Guile became a marshal for the famous March on Washington. He can be seen in this photo, standing behind Martin Luther King, Jr. during King’s historical “I Have a Dream” speech.
