Join us on Saturday, 6/14, from 1pm to 3pm for Family Day – Art & Agriculture in the Classroom on the Education Wing. Learn about artist and scientist George Washington Carver. How did his observations, studies, and teachings improve the lives of farmers? Learn why William H. Johnson painted George Washington Carver, and see the actual painting on display in Fighters For Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice in the Focus Gallery. Participants will plant a peanut and create their own botanical art to take home with them.
The event is free (no registration required).
