Due to ongoing health concerns related to COVID-19, Afternoon Art Club will be offered as a free virtual program through May 2021. Afternoon Art Club will break for the summer. An update on Afternoon Art Club for the 2021-2022 school year will be posted in August 2021.
Afternoon Art Club is a virtual interactive art education program for children facilitated by the Florence County Museum. Each month, students focus on a single topic, look at works of art in the FCM’s collection that represent the topic, learn new art-making techniques and create a unique work of art. Students will receive age-appropriate, standards-based, direct instruction from a SC Certified Art Educator with extension projects throughout the month. The FCM will host an online exhibition of students work at the end of the Spring Session.
This program is made possible through a generous donation from Eastern Carolina Community Foundation Blackwell Ervin Family Fund.
