The Florence County Museum is proud to present the 2020 Pee Dee Regional Art Competition, sponsored by Chick-fil-A of Florence. The competition aims to highlight the best contemporary art in the Pee Dee region. This year’s exhibition will be on display in the FCM Waters Gallery located at 135 South Dargan Street in Florence.
Any person who is a native or resident of the following Pee Dee counties is eligible to enter: Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Kershaw, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter, and Williamsburg. The 1st place award receives $1,000. The 2nd place award receives $500. The 3rd place award receives $250. Honorable Mention receives $100. People’s Choice receives $50.
We are excited to announce this year’s online submission and judging process for the 2020 Pee Dee Regional Art Competition. Artists are invited to upload digital imagery of original work for consideration. Please visit flocomuseum.org/pee-dee-regional.
Online submissions will be accepted through 10:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2019. After which time, the competition juror will select works from online submissions. Artists will be notified by email as to each entry’s acceptance status during the week of November 18, 2019.
Artists whose work has been accepted by the juror into the semifinal round will be required to drop off their work at the FCM Waters Gallery, December 2-13, 2019.
