Johnson’s painting Aunt Alice currently on view in the Focus Gallery at the Florence County Museum. On loan from James E. Lewis Museum of Morgan State University\, the subject matter features William H. Johnson’s mother. Alice Johnson was affectionately known in the community as Aunt Alice.
