DESCRIPTION:An in-depth\, docent-led tour is a great way to obtain a better understanding of any of our exhibits. Regularly scheduled docent-led tours take place every third Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm. He received his BFA in painting and sculpture from Boston University\, and his MFA in painting from Indiana University. His work has been exhibited in New York\, London\, Berlin\, and Greece. \nIn his recent paintings\, Kameen investigates how the search for meaning in everyday moments becomes distorted as internal thoughts are projected onto inanimate surroundings\, blurring the line between reality and memory. \n“With their strong composition\, intense interplay of colors\, and theatrical effects of light and shadow\, the paintings’ characters\, objects\, and events take on a dream-like presence that is both familiar and elusive\,” says FCM curator Stephen Motte. \nJoin us for an opening reception on the evening of Thursday\, September 28\, as we explore the visionary work of one of South Carolina’s most talented contemporary artists.
