Saturday, March 25, 2017: Paper Marbling

Learn the art of Paper Marbling using traditional techniques in this hands-on workshop. Participants will learn the history and evolution of paper marbling while experimenting with Suminagashi and Ebru processes. Each participant will leave the class with a collection of their own unique marbled papers. (These papers will be suitable for use in the Exposed Spine Bookbinding Workshop.)

Saturday, April 22, 2017: Exposed Spine Bookbinding

Create three different books with exposed spine bindings. Participants will learn Japanese Stab Binding, Coptic Stitch Binding, and Linen Tape Binding techniques. Each completed book will be carefully crafted using a variety of cover materials and papers. (Marbled Papers from previous workshop may be brought to use in the creation of books. Completed books will be suitable for safe storage of photographs made in Pinhole Camera Photography Workshop)

Saturday, May 27, 2017: Pinhole Camera Photography
