Wright Foundation for Southern Art

The Wright Foundation for Southern Art, a support organization to the Florence County Museum, was established in 2014 in response to the acquisition of 140 works of art representing 153 years of art in the south. The Wright Foundation for Southern Art is organized to operate exclusively to lease, own, or otherwise maintain a collection of Southern Art and supporting artifacts for the benefit of the Florence County Museum.

As a charitable not for profit organization, the Wright Foundation Board of Directors sets guidelines for the acquisition and long term care for the collections of the Wright Foundation for Southern Art. This collection is leased to the Florence County Museum for exhibit and other museum scholarly purposes.
